Justifications for overconsumption...

"My Dr. prescribed this."

"I only drink at social events."

"It's a Vape."

I have said all of these at one point and probably will again at some point. No judgement, just reflecting.

Well I'll be. TIL geosmin is one of the molecules contributing to what we call petrichor. I didn't see mention of the phenomenon in the ozone article and I can't say I could reliably identify the scent, though I'll keep this in mind during the next thunderstorm.

My dog's just an overbearing goofball. Like, he growls at people when he sees them at the window or when they get to the door, but as soon as they come inside, he's all happy slap-tail wanting to be pet and paid attention to. He does jump, but he just does that to say, "Hey, gimme pets."

When I walk him, he just goes up to people and tries to get attention from them. With relatives, he's had time around a cat I had once, and he presses up against their legs, thinking it's normal to do so.

All in all, the most dangerous part about him is his tail, which whips around at light speed whenever he sees someone he recognizes or wants to visit.

This reminds me of situation that was a few years ago. Despite living in a really large city I was using radio internet. If I wanted to download any film, that meant few hours (mostly around 6-8) of waiting.

I handle NPD for a confectionary company, there are 3 tempering units in the R&D kitchen that have Milk, Dark and White Chocolate in them when developing new recipes. If I'm having a really shit day I gown up and get a sample jar from Quality Assurance, fill it with tempering milk chocolate and drink that back at my desk.... its proper chocolate not the thin stuff for decorating.

Its like straight up chugging happiness.
