How long did this take you to do? They have tools, or even some vegetable peelers have the ability to core out eyes.

I do this sometimes. Doesn't take that much longer actually. Realistically though I usually just shave it flat so a little bit of the eye is still there and eat it like that. No different than eating the skin of an apple IMO. Doesn't affect the taste. Low waste.
