Those are very popular in Eastern Europe at least. They became popular when most of the countries forbid smoking inside. Marlboro, the manufacturer of these, created the alternative of heated tabacco instead of burning so owners could not forbid them. Essentilally you can smoke everywhere you want except where there is an antielectronic smoking sign. There is another brand, Glo by Kent(I think) doing a similar concept. They do smell bad but not as bad as regular cigs while also having the smell dissapear in minutes rather than days. Also, they are cheaper than regular cigs. DO NOT try to smoke them by lightning them btw.

I will forever be weirded out by the fact sand dollars, starfish and scallops are actual living beings. I mean, I don't know what else they could be, I never thought about it. Their remains were always just a thing to me. Never thought of where they come from.

Then my ignorance was ruined. Ignorance is bliss, people, bliss!

Seeing videos of the little "legs" of starfish and sand dollars moving shudders

I think a better translation would be something like “taking photos which violate privacy is forbidden” which likely really means “be respectful of people and don’t take photos of them/their living spaces, etc.” Korea is more strict on personal privacy than say, Americans are. If you watch Korean news you’ll see them blur peoples faces out who are in video clips they use, even entire crowds. I see Korean YouTubers do the same thing.

Edit to add that on the bottom of the sign I can see it’s posted by a local neighborhood residents association, so yes, I’m pretty sure it’s asking you not to take pictures of peoples homes or of the residents and to be respectful of their privacy.
