Datsun cars did the same. Started in the 280ZX and I know it continued in the 300ZX and maybe some Nissans?
The car would talk to you and tell you things like “the left door is open” or when you left the lights on or keys in the ignition.
These days they don’t seem to work, but there’s YouTube videos of people making them work.
Useless but cool piece of technology.

His arms and legs made the Nevada desert look like a rainforest. More cracks than the grand canyon. But at least he wasn't too hot lol

I mean... The wrist band IS communication. Not your preferred method and that's fine. I tend to be open to engage in conversation and a handshake, but I will not be the one to initiate. But I also know that some of the associates that our business conferences are incredibly shy, but since attendance was mandatory they're there anyway. I would really appreciate something like this for them. They would engage even though they don't want to because they're afraid of being rude

I don’t know who offended you by not wanting to shake your hand, but I’m not as committed to working out this issue here as you are. So I’m just gonna go ahead and nod and smile.

Reply to comment by n33bulz in This candy store in Vancouver leaves their empty cash register drawer on display after hours to deter break-ins. by PapaCologne
Several stores in Toronto started leaving their doors open at night and cleaning out their stock because the meth heads were smashing in $5000 windows to get to the empty cash registers. It was weird walking past an empty but open store.
And yet the meth heads would smash their windows anyways because meth.

1st of all, OP's coin is a nickel, not a quarter (worth 5c face, not 25c). 2nd, there is no silver in any V nickle (b/c as I just said, it's a nickle, not a quarter; the "pre-1965 90% silver content" doesn't apply to nickles). 3rd, price guides put a 1909 nickle's value at around $2 in G-4 condition, which is what I think the condition OP's coin is in, so there's no way this is worth anything near $50. I'm not even sure where you got "about $50" from anyway b/c if it was a quarter, except for the 1909-O all 1909 quarters in the same condition are worth around $13.

I have something similar. Half of my body is slightly “different”. My skin tone is slightly darker, the hair grows a bit differently, and now that I’m in my mid 40s, may hair is thinning a bit differently.
My eyes even see slightly different colors (my left eye views colors more “warmly” with a redder tint).
None of this is noticeable to anyone but me. Thought i was the only one!

Yeh, unless this is an airport, gym or hotel that’s still not a usual accessory.

To me it is passive aggressive and it’s probably an extension of social media culture. People haven’t learned how to interact with strangers in the real world. Somehow humans figured out how to communicate their want/or not of a handshake for hundreds and thousands of years without a color reference palate. It takes something away from social interactions if your body language can’t do the talking and instead you just have some color label to express your emotions/desires.

Does it get below freezing at those places? I have lived in very nice and very poor places in the south, but I have never seen dual faucets anywhere except for a maintenance closet with a sink or something like that. Definitely not in anything residential though. Makes me wonder if it has to do with pipes freezing or something.

Took me too long to realize your eczema was not caused by a BITE. I was looking everywhere for the bite on your chin lol
Hope it goes away soon, I get it on my fingers mostly, and some on my knees and elbows, but it only started happening a year ago. Do you have any tips? I have noticed that if I put bandaids on my fingers with the ointments, then my fingers get all soggy/wrinkly (like bandaids normally do) and that soggy wrinkly state is almost immune to any further eczema development.
