What are some movies with messages that are completely undermined by their endings?

I’ll start. “Beauty and the Beast” tells us not to judge people by their appearance and rather by their character, and that Beauty is only skin deep… only for the Beast to conveniently turn back into a super handsome dude at the end. It would have been a much better message if the Beast either stayed like he was or turned out to be an unattractive man, and she still loved him nonetheless.
