2000s had Superbad, Borat, Hangover, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the dead, Anchorman, Tropic Thunder, 40 year old virgin, Tucker and Dale vs evil, Forgetting Sarah Marshall etc... 1990s had Dumb and DUmber, Big lebowski, Friday, Home Alone,all the Jim Carrey comedies etc...
I know i've grown older and I seek less for comedies, but it just feels like there hasn't been culturally relevant comedies in a while churned out from Hollywood like there used to be some huge megahit every few years just 10 years ago. It can't be just me, there definitely hasn't been some pure Hollywood comedies like Hangover and Superbad coming out. Barely from top of my mind one pure Hollywood comedy I really enjoyed from last few years is Palm Springs.
