I feel like these multiverse movies are just an excuse for meta nostalgia casting. Bringing together previous actors of roles really pulls me out of the movie and if there are infinite realities, why do i care? Eventually they have to say that the consequences will destroy all realities, but that doesn’t work to pull me back in. The whole thing is exhausting and feels less like a movie and more like a commercial.
