I just watched Body Heat (1981) for the first time and it was much better than I expected.
I thought it was going to be a basic sexual thriller like Basic Instinct or 9 1/2 weeks where I would end up turning off half way through.
But, this movie was so gripping and had such an interesting charm that I just wasn’t expecting. I just loved the depiction of a sleazy 80s lawyer living in Miami and an equally compelling femme fatale. Also, you could feel the humidity and sweat in every scene.
How do people feel about this about this movie? And what other movies ended up being much better than you expected them to be?
