There’s so many iconic scenes in films that take place at the dinner table. A few examples of some of my favorites are, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974, Eraserhead, and Meet The Parents. If you’ve seen these films, think about how different these scenes are from one another. They can range from fucking horrific to comedy gold and the tone can change in seconds. We have the familiarity of sitting down for a meal with friends and family, the anxiety of meeting strangers, the terror of being trapped, or feeling disgusted while being legitimately horrified.
