Everytime I think about this I think of Michael Chrichton. Except for Jurassic park, the movies sucked based on his other really good books. Even the Jurassic Park movies as good as they were, were weak in comparison to the books. Sphere, Congo, Andromeda Strain, Timeline we're all really really good books, but terrible movies.
