Maybe I'm a bit biased here as I study economics. But this movie is just so damn entertaining. I have watched it multiple times, and although I did not really get it the first time, it was so fun. Great actors, great shots, great convo. On some points it may have exaggerated a bit on the actual events, but we have to keep in mind that it's a movie - not a documentary.

One thing I noticed though, was the more often I watched it, the less I found it funny and the more I found it fucked up. It really makes you think. We have learned nothing from the financial crisis in 2008, because the same financial practices are exercised today. Banks are still focused on volume, leverage (which is how banks work tbf), and excessive risk. The movie is timeless in a sense.

I am curious about your opinions on the movie. Did you enjoy it? Why (not)?
