I've been watching stuff like Critters 2 and was surprised by the amount of graphic violence/gore and nudity in that film....and that was just PG-13. Compared it to PG-13 today, in my opinion, I think it's too sanitized. PG-13 used to be edgy, and it needs to go back to its 80s format.
However, you've got films like The Woman King, Split and Cloverfield. Although they came out in 2022, 2016 and 2007 respectively, I felt like they're an example of how PG-13 used to look like in the 80s.
What PG-13 films currently do you think are an example of 80s PG-13?
