This is fascinating thread through the tapestry of movie history.

That film was a milestone and kicked off the found footage genre.

Someone posted an interview from 25 years ago where she details the gruelling and experimental process and where she and the other actors improvised huge elements of it.

The broader context is it sounds like even after the huge and unexpected financial success of the film they didn't go back and reward the actors beyond their initial stipends.

It seems she now makes videos that are maybe metaphysical self help related? Regardless, one of those people who has made our brief time here more interesting.

I will never forget the time my neighborhood megaplex played Freddy vs. Jason instead of Whale Rider. Families were leaving the auditorium in droves - kids were bawling their eyes out and the parents were fuming mad and grumbling. An usher stood at the auditorium door handing the angry adults free passes. It was quite the spectacle.

Even more bizarre was the time I went to see the Jennifer Lopez thriller Enough. A family in sunday dress gets up after the first fifteen minutes complaining about the film. I watched them leave with bewilderment. What were they expecting and why did they think a trashy thriller deserved their best clothing? As I walk out of the theatre after it ends, I see that the auditorium next door is The Other Side of Heaven. That poor family simply wandered into the wrong film. Still doesn't explain why they sat through the first fifteen minutes of Enough before deciding to leave. Trailers aren't usually that long.

Watch all Tarantino movies. Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill (V1-V2), Death Proof (Imo, his worst film, not all bad, just not good), Django:Unchained (IMO, the best), Hateful 8, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

You should probably also watch his script movies, True Romance and Natural Born Killers, Dusk till Dawn, these are both written by Tarantino, True Romance is probably the best and most similar to Tarantino in style

I really hope she hasn't spent that long thinking her performance was just an incidental part of something that was already going to be successful. People legit thought they were watching a snuff film at the time because her performance was about as intense and realistic (and iconic) as you can get.

Especially considering this was the cast's first big project in their careers. I think all three of them were fresh out of college.
