I love courtroom dramas!
Allow me to share a list I started around 10(!) years ago, one of the first lists I made after joining Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/9wCK

Literally it's just someone the author finds annoying, the insufferable amateur foodie
ColietheGoalie t1_j6c6i3p wrote
I mean at a certain level a foodie would be annoying to a chef.
Not merely enjoying the food, he was obsessed with the chef and his approval, eager to drop unearned knowledge for clout, taking pictures of the food for posterity when asked not to, and uncaring, even vile, to those around him while he pursues that next hit of flavour. Does that sound like a great person to cook for? Like anything, a hobby or passion pushed to the point of an obsession can be unhealthy and unpleasant for those around you.
It’s also worth noting that Holt’s character chose to be there, and was treated rather benignly (of all the dark secrets brought up, “you took pictures when I asked you not to” was by far the mildest). That is until it came to light that he had basically sentenced an innocent, regular person to their death in pursuit of the food, at which point the chef turned harsh. Think about his statement about the wealthy basically pushing regular people out of being able to enjoy fine dining and making it an exclusive club from which they could look down on other. That was one of the chef’s sore spots, and I think the foodie inadvertently walked into that role as well.

Was going to say the same thing, but I'd add And Justice for All.

The best is Twelve Angry Men. But A Few Good Men is pretty decent, plus most of the John Grisham adaptations.

I’m still shocked Jackie Brown never seems to get any love. My favorite QT movie

Yes I love this film too

Fight Club is ok, but even as a 8 year old kid when I first watched it I thought it was overhyped. I think the theme of the movie and the message is so in your face and hamfisted it makes the movie feel like a parody in certain parts. And at no point in the movie even after re-watching it multiple times do I think they pull off the twist. I don't think in any of the prior scenes Fincher does a good enough job to convince anyone that the narrator has a split personality. There's actually scenes like the car crash scene where there has to be two people involved in it. I think the direction is really good and I do like the performances, although I think Norton put out better movies around that time with People vs Larry Flynt, Primal Fear, and American History X.

We Were Soldiers was a great movie. It's about the 1st major battle in Vietnam. My father-in-law was a special forces Vietnam vet during the Tet Offensive and he had a really hard time watching this movie because he said it felt very real to him.
Another movie that I thought was really good was Blackhawk Down. It's about the battle in Somalia.

Also, it's one of those movies like Joker or Taxi Driver where people will definitely think you've got a loose screw if that's your favorite.

You realize it's a comedy actually mocking nihilism right?

It was decent, but I wouldn't say it is "life changing."
The characters are toxic, the story is toxic... but it sounds like you are seeing it in a slightly different light than I did...

The book of 13 hours is much better than the movie. The movie they had to change somethings about the battle to add flair and explosions. It was still a good watch.
Movie recommendations: fury, inglorious basterds, the outpost, tears of the sun, American sniper, lone survivor, zero dark thirty, we were soldiers, full metal jacket.
HBO series: Band of brothers, the pacific, generation kill.
All of these are fantastic movies or shows in my opinion
