Very true. We need more films that overlap the Tony Hawk Boom Boom Huck Jam zeitgeist and the tie dye dreams of the 1970s.

Argentina, 1985
From Wikipedia:
"Based on real events, the story follows the events surrounding the 1985 Trial of the Juntas, which prosecuted the ringleaders of Argentina's last civil-military dictatorship (1976–1983), and centers on the titanic work of a group of non-lawyers aged 20 to 27, led by prosecutors Julio César Strassera and Luis Moreno Ocampo against those responsible for the most bloody dictatorship in the history of Argentina. The narration reflects on the true meaning in the
concepts of memory, truth and justice under the slogan "Nunca más" ('Never again').

The "twist" in that film was her character lying under oath in order to dismantle the whole circus of rage and heal her community.

That movie makes me very nostalgic. I had it on VHS in the late 90s. I remember Disney was still airing Goof Troop. It would be on in the mornings and afternoon at 5ish.

Yeah, that’s how I framed it. “But Pete was right! Max stayed up to find Santa and it really was just his dad the whole time.”
I just needed to bombard him with examples of Pete not telling the truth and then got him focused on something else before he could think about it.

Well, the "EXTREMELY" in the sequel is referencing their skateboarding, isn't it? Its more of an X-Games/Doritos/Warped Tour version of "X-treme" than a literal dictionary definition of extreme.

The only time I walked out of a theater was when I was a kid and I saw The Shaggy Dog (2006) with my dad. I don't remember much except we thought it was boring and that's why we walked out.
Now, as an adult, I never walked out of a theater and I'll try to keep it that way because I want to judge a movie in its entirety. I must admit it was hard to stay till the end for movies like Cats (2019) or Black Adam, tho

"Fear" 1996.... you can find a small version of a "Chucky doll" in Mark Wahlbergs room...it's on a shelf and not so hard to miss

I don’t pay attention to Pete. He’s just acting out. Hurt people hurt people.

Goofy movie was accidentally deleted and they had to remake it. In an alternate universe, I wonder if the titles would have made sense.
Also, there’s a Christmas special with Goofy and Max on D+ and it makes a very strong argument that there is no Santa and it’s just your parents. Even my 3yo groked it, and I had to explain that Pete was a bad guy who only said things to hurt Goofy and Max. Wtf Disney.

Three Men and a Baby a cardboard cutout in the background that some people think is a ghost.
Ohh yeah and can't forget the line which leads up to it by Ted Dancings mother:
"Look at the way shes looking at me"

Death Proof is awesome. It’s as pure Tarantino as it gets, with extended dialog, his signature style of characters, extensive practical stunt work, revenge fantasy, and is a total homage to the 70s grindhouse slasher genre. I get why its appeal is somewhat limited as that’s a feature of genre films. Personally I’d surely put this in my top 5 favorite Tarantino films.

You are pretty much describing what happened to Chantal Akerman when she tried to get funding for her musical comedy Golden Eighties. She ended up cobbling together enough money though and it turned out awesome.

I remember watching the movie and thinking what was so special about Kim Basinger in it. At the time, critics raved about her performance. I saw nothing that warrented that. I thought Russell Crowe was the standout in that.

Why was she not paid for this voicework?

Short answer but no. LA Confidential is one of my favourite movies but I mean her performance is basically a cameo
