A recent example for me would have to be Thor: Love and Thunder.

Because of Zodiac, Hurdy Gurdy Man will always be about stalking and killing people on the west coast during the late 60s. Apologies to Donovan, but that’s the only thing it evokes now.

The dude has only 4 written screenplays produced and has 8 that are in development. He’ll double the amount of films he’s worked on after his death if they are completed.

I never liked the Pina Colada song about a couple trying to cheat on each other. Then Gunn put it in Guardians, my favorite Marvel movie, and I associate it with Star-Lord cruising through space. I appreciate the music more than the message. That’s true for a lot of tracks on both movies, plus some songs like Lakeshore Drive, I had never even heard before.
Supernatural did the same thing for eighties rock music for me. I was aware of ACDC and so on, but I never bothered to listen to that ‘screaming’ as my mom calls it.

This is an incredibly sad song. I always bring that up to people and nobody has ever found it interesting. Only me and you give to fox about it.

I hate them, too. Best closet thing I’ve seen are Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon and The Taking of Deborah Logan

the line between tv and movies has blurred a lot these last few years when including things like the star wars shows or the MCU shows that tie in with the movies

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen could've been 10x better if had... More? Idk, something about it was just underwhelming.
Dracula wasted a great Oldman performance with shit casting and bad sfx. One of Keanu's worst movies.
Every gothic horror literature made into a modern rendition wastes it's source material.
