Meh, they’re the only thing that makes me feel anything close to fear so horror movies without them don’t make me feel any of “scary” emotions I’m supposed to feel.

I love that song’s message though! It’s like a parable about love and communication and not being blinded by the mundane. Those two not only deserved each other, they complemented each other perfectly! I wish I could find someone who fits perfectly into my whole life, including my flaws.
I recently heard somewhere that great marriages aren’t great because they never come apart, but because they are defined by the coming back together again. I think that song is a beautiful example of that. Cheesy, saccharine, and unrealistic…but beautiful!

So in the British version of The Office, it really matters that they’re being filmed: characters are aware of the camera, people have watched “the show” and seen things they did or said, and the camera affects what people do and the nature of the story. It’s incorporated into it in a thoughtful way.
(The first season of the US Office is the worst until the series is about to end, so I’d encourage anyone to watch it, if only for the season, third, and fourth seasons)

Not a film, but that song always makes me think of the scene from Malcolm in the Middle where Hal breaks out his record player

I did not know muschetti did that... I knew del toto produced. Explains why it was somewhat good - such a shame, there's huge chunks of that film missing.

Last Night in Soho or Raya and the Last Dragon. Both failed to stick the landing and could've been great if the writing was a whole lot better.

I'm always in awe at 2012.
The sheer scale of destruction is unbelievable and watching it unfurl with shitty dialogue is almost hilarious - it's so much fun to watch. An extended sequence behind a couple of grannies driving not realising end of world scale destruction, with all the screams of hundreds of thousands is insane. A plane flying through the cracks of the world with subway trains emerging from tunnels only to descend into a firey abyss - all the passengers are animated within it running with absolute futile.
Got a nothing but respect for the animators on that one. The attention to detail is maddeningly impressive.
