I don’t know about Austin, but NY benefits immensely. Jobs coming out the ass.

Those were my two favourites as well, I liked the viewing more because of the atmosphere and that soundtrack was amazing. I’m a sucker for that stuff

If a fun movie when you’re in college I don’t think it would work as well on me now

FTA content has to compete with streaming content. The argument is that local content is unfairly restricted by content restriction rules that streaming companies don’t have to worry about. Same thing is happening in Canada, but we haven’t done anything to combat it yet

I guess I would call it more a redemption story arc than a zero to hero story arc. The reason I chose Encanto was because her character started off powerless through no fault of her own and later realises her power that she can use to help her family. So to me that is a zero to hero story arc. But if the protagonist is the cause of the problem then the act of fixing the problem is the character trying to make amends which to me is more align with a redemption story arc.

I hate gore so that movie freaked me out.... It's a shame cuz I love westerns and that scene was just not my thing at all
I do like Zahler's other films cuz they're a lot slicker and more grungy

I went to the exhibit on this movie hosted at MoMA in New York and it really impressed me how much work and care went into the puppetry and sets.

Agree again. Think my favorite is a draw between The Autopsy and The Viewing.

Zahler is by far one of the few interesting and genuinely talented contemporary filmmakers of our time. It’s not surprising he’s having a hard time getting funded lately because Hollywood hates talent.

Why in the world would it be unfair to give your money to the person who made the movie that you want to see?
You're saying it's unfair that some people want to watch certain movies. Their tastes are "unfair.” I disagree with that view, I would suggest that tastes in art are inherently subjective and I respect your personal tastes.

It’s fine/good.
Wonderfully animated of course, but the material is ultimately very shallow and patronising, (which makes sense, it’s primarily aimed at children), it runs too long, and the songs are just not good for the most part.

Flip a coin.
Buffalo 66 and King of Comedy are both movies that I appreciate but don't really enjoy. I will say that King of Comedy is much more polished than Buffalo 66.
