My 3yo daughter made me replay the poop song like 20x, so there's that too.

It’s my favorite movie of the year actually. Top Gun: Maverick, Tár, Banshees, all great ones. Really looking forward to Aftersun.

It was! It absolutely was!
And people were really good about not spoiling it for others.
One of the best elements was that final dream sequence of Forrest Whitaker (That had been haunting Fergus) finally walking into the light as he's tossing the tennis ball....with a Big ole knowing smile on his face!

I vividly remember seeing this in the theater. There was word that there was a big twist but I hadn’t heard what it was. When it happened there were a lot of people who immediately walked out. I was amazed how fast they made that decision, got up and left.

Haha. Watched this last week too. Completely agree with Whitaker, who is more often than not great. Weird choice. The 90s hair dates this film, sadly, although I still think it’s a good film, especially given it’s context

I’ve never really payed much attention to other people’s opinions on anything.
Sucks that you didn’t enjoy the movie but these things happen 🤷♂️

Reply to comment by vmb222 in What year did movies start to incorporate "post-credit" / "stinger" / "credit cookie" bonus scenes during/after the credits coming on? by Boston_Baked
A lot of the Pixar movies have additional stuff during, between, or after the credits. Cars and Toy Story 3 & 4 have various epilogue scenes during the credits, and most of the Pixar movies from Brave to Lightyear have post credits scenes. (Usually something funny.)
Lightyear had 3 credits scenes. Two joke punchlines (mid and post credits), and a sequel tease literally after the entire movie is done. (After the credits and logos.)

yah but Dragos is a Rocky foe
i think Coogler would have preferred not touching Rocky people at all. although this new story reminded me of Tommy Morrison one

IIRC the issue with Matthew Fox was never his talent or commitment, but he's well-known to be a bit of an asshole that's hard to work with.

Hopefully the more he shotguns the subreddit with this shit the faster he gets permabanned.

I’d almost go as far to say it’s NOT an animation for kids. This had some pretty brutal moments that would be scarring for a lot kids. Definitely a great movie though.
