There's strong cultural cringe in this post.

I feel like there was more to the movie and it got removed so it can keep its PG13 rating.

Sure, the songs aren’t very good, but they’re sporadically placed enough that it doesn’t really feel like a musical.

It must be difficult to balance tackling fascism while remaining digestible for children, but I just don’t think it’s accomplished well at all.

I have read some interesting articles on what happened, but essentially it flopped because of executives at Disney changing and not giving the movie the standard Disney press push.

Reply to comment by Zarguthian in I just watched Django Unchained and am a bit unclear on a few details, please help me out. by Zarguthian
I think the agreement between Schulz and Django regarding the Brittle brothers was for Django to earn his freedom in exchange for identifying them. After he shows skill as a gunfighter, Schulz takes him on as a partner/protege. The next bounty is Django's first as a full fledged bounty hunter.

There is no real continuity, all it is is retelling the same basic story over and over again in every movie. You don't have to follow all the MCU movies to be able to watch any one of them. You can watch them out of order. They are designed this way

Second this. It’s really a comedy that happens to have zombies in it.

As far as biopics go, Elvis is not Oscar bait at all. It’s a very unique gaudy maximalist film, it doesn’t fit the conventions of “Oscar Bait”.

Exactly.
These people's problems aren't that the content laws aren't working. It's that they're too lazy to seek out the content they claim to want...
...if they really want it. Which I doubt.

Breaking Away has a deeply loving, "understanding" family at its heart.

I fucking love Five Easy Pieces, I hate that it's only known for the diner scene.
It's sad that Jack Nicholson devolved into almost a parody of himself. Watch this movie, The Last Detail, Easy Rider, and you can see the hella range Nicholson had back in the day, just amazing performances.

Good thing the MCU doesn't have complicated plotting. They just follow their own continuity and develop the characters from what came before.
Weird how you don't seem to understand the difference.

Good lord, you can't even read past one sentence. No wonder you can't follow the continuity.
Here it is again: "Which is to say, they may not have a fixed 'grand narrative,' but they do pay attention to continuity, and the characters and storylines develop within that continuity."

Frontline had the laziest writers...
...they didn't have to dream up anything because they pretty much ripped stunts from ACA and other "current affairs" drivel.
That one where they were being "chased" by cops was all from the Skase affair.

It was Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. The guy that played Aragorn (I think) thought the helmet was a prop and ended up breaking his toe
