Two things that scare me; creepy kids and human-like robots. I very much enjoyed this movie, even if some bits were cheesy (like when she sings)

What I got out of it honestly was just the madness that can come about from such sheer and intense isolation. Even in the scenes where they are seeming to connect with one another instead they just end up getting locked into a grand delusion together, almost feeding on each other's mental breakdown.
In the end I don't actually believe anything supernatural was going o rather that just serves as a good visual for how the characters were feeling in their states of madness. I think the end shot really highlights this as the two are shown in the state that they are in.

I dont know for certain if he cried, but Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now. Guy was having a legit drunken breakdown filming the opening scence and they just kept filming.

I was recovering from a badly sprained ankle when I watched it, Patrick Wilson rebreaking his leg and then having to walk on it was sickening in a way most movie violence isn’t for me.

Carroll Ballard's Never Cry Wolf puts wolves in their proper light.

The only film that made me cry 3 fucking times(The Up style opening, conversation between Pinocchio and candlewick in the camp, and the ending). My pick for the best 2022 film.

Ah, fair enough, that makes sense. I'd wanted more from the scenes at the launch event, it felt like they could have fit 20 minutes of action and suspense there without losing pace as well as the final act feeling all too brief.
Decent movie just the same.

I mean it’s not great, but it was entertaining and a nice horror escape from all of the stupid paranormal jump scare filled crap of the last 20 years since paranormal activity.

Another wartime children’s fantasy from Guillermo Del Toro. This time it’s animated.
I’m getting a bit tired of the formula.
Downvote me if you want, but I’m off the Del Toro train.

I wouldn’t even call that phoning it in because it didn’t seem like a lazy performance it was just a terrible one. That accent was unbearable

Sadly still a "15" in the UK, though it was rated "18" until reclassified in 2007.
