But we are not talking about the movie itself. We don't talk about the characters, or quote them, or do tributes or anything that indicates the movie is beloved. We are talking about why it seems to have no impact. I mean, yes, you talk in the lunch room why Karen from HR is such a bitch, but that doesn't mean that's the type of talk I wanna hear about myself

Spectre was the movie that got me into bond. I'll admit that the ending is a little weak, and the brothers twist was bullshit, but I like the movie. I think the main difference is Skyfall doesn't need a follow up. It ends its story where it needs to, so the next movie can be good or bad without wrecking Skyfall. Majesties ends on a cliffhanger that demands satisfaction. Bond needs his revenge. Instead we got Dimonds. It's a fun movie, all 007 films are. I always loved the moon lander chase. But it is my least favorite bond movie

Have you ever considered that you’re in an echo chamber? People have not shut up about this movie since it released, whether it be negative or positive, hell you’re even contributing to the endless discourse rn over a month later. There are hundreds of memes from this movie, that fucker in the glasses spawned multiple just by himself 😂

I’ve also seen plenty of people talking about it online maybe not as much as stuff like EEAO but still a decent amount after the movie came out.

Also every person who I’ve had a conversation about movies with recently has asked me if I have seen Avatar.

Reddit just doesn’t like Avatar

I got caught up in the hype on the first one and went to see it. The 3D was probably the best use of 3D out there but the story was so generic that I forgot the movie a week later and never felt the need to revisit it. I’m sure the sequel has it’s fans but I doubt I’ll ever sit down to watch it. Other than Aliens and the first Terminator I’ve never been a huge Cameron fan.

Yep, as exporting stereotypes will play well overseas. And that's the point. If they are forced to produce Australian tv, they'll get maximum bang for their buck of its palatable to overseas audiences.

We can also get popular shows like glitch or rake that are set in Australia but not Australian focused.

The rise of streaming has made it more of an international market rather than a UK or American market with each country having their own seperate market. Korean shows are doing well. Dark was a big success. Nine perfect strangers did ok and was more of an overseas show than Australian.

It did start with scandi crime as the streamers were just getting started.

I hope we get more scripted drama than reality tv as the inventive pushed more in that direction.

Ya I think it’s a rather beautiful ending if I’m being completely honest. He doesn’t become a “real boy” physically but he experiences the joys of what it’s like to have a family, friends, as well as the pain that comes when those friends and family are no longer there with us and that’s about as “real” as you can get.

I think to is that the first Rocky at least spent a lot more time with Rocky in his daily life. He was a poor dude, and his life was hard.

It's been quite a while since I saw the first Creed but the guy had a nice office job and seemingly the support of Apollo's wife to where he really had no reason to fight other than to live up to the Creed name but he also fears it. Rocky on the other hand HAD to fight to survive and even when we see him he's struggling.

I liked the first Creed movie enough but yeah there are no memorable songs that just brings is all together.
