Eh Jonathan Majors and Michael B Jordan are talented enough to carry this movie. It looks pretty good. Plus Sly is damn near 80 he said he wants to retire after Tulsa King.

Holy shit i remember that rope slinging upward in the movie and remember thinking “that’s quite in your face” seeing the big black rope silhouette. THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE THAT DUTCH WOULVE DONE WHAT HE DID

I mean yeah, that's how a lot of movies work. The hero takes a big gamble, risks it all and it happens to work out for them.

Creature features aren’t just movies starring a monster, they were the hosted or non hosted block of films broadcasted on television around the 70s and 80s They relied on films mostly from the 70s and before: Hammer horror movies, Japanese monster movies, 50s monster and alien films.
What killed then was horrors increasing reliance on gore, I think. Also sort of the camp aspects of genre films and their transition into serious business.
While Syfy films tried, they were too low budget and not particularly likeable.

Because it’s factually incorrect? And honestly contradicts the whole movie.

I think the people who made the movie would be disappointed with your take aways. Or lack there of.
Also if you care to, please explain what I’m over thinking. The movie said Obama smoked Newports so they could make a lazy black joke. He doesn’t. Not sure what there is to overthink.
I guess his favorite food is KFC too huh?

Except Jonah Hill’s bride literally ends up skewering Julia Louis Dreyfus’ character for the exact type of behavior that her husband (Hill) participated in at beginning of the movie….
I know it seems silly. And it is. I’m chill. But really it contradicts the whole movie man.

I thought the movie was pretty good...I think you are over thinking it. It is a movie. Shouldn't try to start a "Woke" movement over it.✌️

I think Videodrome is his best work, I would argue Crash is in that same echelon. After that he kind of peters off IMO, I haven't seen Crimes of the Future yet either though so I don't know how that compares to his older stuff.

It’s a comedy, not a documentary. Jokes don’t need to be factually correct to be funny. Lighten up.
CressKitchen969 t1_j6l9zi7 wrote
The cast and concept on paper was very promising, but most of the jokes and setups were half assed

First of all, You doubt for Dutch and his ability to plan is disappointing. Of course he planned it like that. Second home alone came out after predator, so Kevin set predator traps for the wet bandits.
