It does have some brilliant moments (mostly the Hasselhoff stuff you mentioned), but it was made for about $3.50, and it shows. Primarily in the performances.

When did you say it? “ have stopped watching western shows/movie because of it. I only watch Asian movies/shows.”

Yes! He plays Chuck on Better Call Saul and making this connection blew my mind.

I love this film. It doesn't pretend to be something its not. The scene with all the bloodied skeletons is still haunting.

The Exorcist is one of the best movies ever made, regardless of genre…

so many famous people dying in January this year. :(
I mean statistically Jan has the highest number of deaths in the year but good grief. It seems way worse this year.

>Self censorship is a thing.
Yes. For example, the Hays Code was not a government thing, it was an internal industry self-censorship that the major film companies worked out by themselves, yet it still got enforced pretty much like a law for over 30 years.

It’s completely subjective.

its not subjective the fact that there was already a genre for that kind of movies, and that it hasn’t changed the way movies are perceived or made in any way, since the movie itself is full of references.

I’d call it both innovative and containing artistic value. It’s ok that you disagree since these things are completely subjective to the point they have little meaning.

This is how I think it works.
It’s why I quit watching the local news.
