You can load up the body onto a horse and transport it that way. Just like in Read Dead Redemption 2 when you have have to get your legendary pelt to the trapper in Saint Denis. Also boats exist.

Maybe those movies just suck? Or do you always blame bad reviews on 'people offended by it'?

None of this was brought up, why are you inserting it into an argument when nobody is talking about it?

I mean the movie was made for white people
Western educated good asian woman goes to asia to teach those backward soulless savages who only care about money how to be human
Exactly how hollywood sees "asians" (takes place in singapore, everybody is east asian, except the male lead of course, can't have him be fully asian, full straight asian men aren't allowed to exist in hollywood)

This kinda makes sense.
Tia Delma does say a touch of destiny to him twice.
It was a ceremonial sword, too. Maybe it signifies new beginnings or ending of one this and beginning of another? That would make sense with the events too actually.

I don't really get how a dnd movie would work
KitsuneRisu t1_j6o794y wrote
Just because something is used as a prop and is a common thing found in association with a character does not necessarily make it significant.
In Knives out, Rian Johnson intentionally wrote in the baseball as a metaphorical representation for the karmic retrobution of the character. The act of throwing the baseball comes full circle as part of the plot and mirrors the main theme of the story.
In Pirates, the sword is not used in any such way that is that deep. The sword he made is primarily used as an introduction to show that he is a blacksmith. The fact that he was stabbed by it is inconsequential. It wasn't used to carry out a narrative, to lead from scene to scene, as a metaphor for anything, nor was its use ironic to any degree. It doesn't have a story, or a significance to any of the characters in the movie that would help carry out a parallel theme.
I think you're thinking a bit too much about this one, personally.

I need to revisit that one. Haven’t seen it in probably 20 years. I’d have to think about it longer, but for me off the top of my head in the moment, I’d go with the first Pirates movie and Master and Commander for favorite “at sea” flicks. But I do remember loving Crimson Tide.

Leaving Las Vegas is an interesting one, because basically every scene is about him ending his own life.
