This is partially why I love Unsolved Mysteries more than most of these other series

I heard people say “if you liked the first one, you’ll like the sequel. If you didn’t like the first one, you’ll not like it” and wow, I think that’s so not true. I loved the first one and absolutely hated the second one. Spider? Come on. This movie is just terrible.
I know they’re investigating how that obscure actress was nominated for an Oscar, but I think they should extend their investigation to Way of Water getting a best picture nod. Just terrible.

Spike Lee talked about it,David Simon (who is white but usually forces on race) who wrote the wire talked about how he only allowed to go to far with some of the race so not offend the white audaince members and I believe issa rea had similar issues getting her show made until it was on HBO because most studios were willing to make unless changes were made.
If I'm including ones that started production but were never made the Danny glover haitian revolution movie is a really interesting thing to read about.

Eh, there have been several sites and videos that tried to use the kid's age and different date/time clues to show that over the years. At the absolute worst, she "only" waited a few months before moving on, but people do weird things when they're devastated by tragedy.

People who are inflexible make good villains in this regard. Nurse Ratchet comes immediately to mind.

Yet you keep engaging with me on my opinion
Perhaps try convincing me of what a fine film this turned out in the 3rd act? Cause I wasn't seeing it

He kept that one box in readable condition without a waterproof box but nothing else? Hmm, I think there may be a slight flaw in your reasoning. Either he’s found a way of keeping stuff safe, or he hasn’t.
You also need to go and rewatch the scenes where he’s collecting the boxes and, later on, when he starts to open them.

Ripley in "Alien 3." It's kind of unbelievable that she would be able to hold on to the Queen chestburster as she falls into the fire, but it's great visual and very metaphorically symbolic. At least until "Alien: Resurrection."

You admit you didn't finish the film, so your opinion here is worse than useless.

>But theatres are dead/dying
This is a regional thing.
I have lived in places where you had to wait in line for hours to buy very expensive tickets and sit in cramped disgusting conditions and watch a film on a small screen barely visible because the bulb in the projector was dying
I have lived in places where the theater was pristine, the screens were enormous, luxury seating, tickets were cheap, and you were the only person in the place.

I'm not trying to be impressive... This is just a terrible film that tried way too hard to be edgy. The very first scene is a perfect summary of this piece of cinema

Yup, it’s rated PG-13. You should look at some of other the early nominees, plenty of rated R movies in there like Boyz n the Hood and Speed

Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Giving it a shorter runtime would have cut off a lot of the fat like Sam dealing with getting a loan and helping his sister with their family business or them going on a detour to Madripoor to meet up with the Power Broker.
I get a big part of the series was the racial prejudice Sam would experience but it felt like those issues were completely seperate to his activites as a superhero. A tighter run time would force the writers to weave those themes of race/class into the primary storyline.
Also a bigger budget means the scenes we already got could look more impressive. Walker as the new Captain America is a great angle but he and his partner felt weirdly small scale considering the amount of fanfare that was surrounded with Walker becoming Cap, especially given his lack of powers. Give him a support field team on missions to really cement that this Cap has the limitless support of the government behind him while Sam is largely left to handle things himself. Also give some of that budget to the Flag Smashers so they appear more credible as a proper threat and visually impressive.
For the reverse side make Eternals a miniseries. That film was a mess.

I quite enjoyed it and was surprised to see several negative reviews from critics with similar taste to mine. It's well acted, clever, beautifully shot and the sound is fantastic.
