I thought The Shawshank Redemption was terrific.

I really enjoyed rewatching that movie after Schitt's Creek wrapped up. Levy and Catherine O'Hara really do work well together.

Yeah, Rob Reiner put this whole mini genre together, including the cast that kept showing up in the later Guest movies. He deserves credit for that (and he's also hilarious acting in Spinal Tap).

“Hype” is the worst fucking thing to happen to film discourse. I’ve almost unsubbed from here so many times because I’m tired of people talking about movies like they’re a shoe reseller.

I don’t think this works as animated. It has to feel real otherwise you can twist and turn any direction because there are no rules in animation
Also, no need for R. It’s a YA story. I bet the author would have a religious freak out if it was R as well

I read she started her career working with Sally Field! Two cuties. My crushes as a little boy.

Well, The wander earth 2 (WE2) actually has at least two covert plots. In the first elevator explosion scene, those missiles not only destoried the elevator, but also crashed the unfinished Ark space ship. Initially, there were 4 projects proposed in UN or UEG and one of them was the Ark spaceship project which could only carry 3000 persons to colonize a new planet. US was pro-Ark and pro-digital-life until the first iginition of planet engine. That explains why US was not so involved in the first half of the movie.

Another covert plot is about MOSS. He is behind all of these crises and I think you already noticed that. But the movie also secretly depicted a hidden duel between AI and human. The restoration of Internet was actually finished 12 mins earlier than the final countdown (This was indicated by the time provided in the movie) and it was MOSS who faked the failure of restoration to either annihilate or test the human race. Zhou insisted an on-time iginition because he noticed that and forced AI to make a choice, either die together or live together.

I love A Mighty Wind because as a music fan, I get all the references. They're actually quite brilliant. Eugene Levy's performance in that film as Mitch is phenomenal.

No hate on OP, who is just expressing a sincere appreciation for a new discovery (respect), but it does make me smile whenever I see a post that amounts to “hey, does anybody else like this hugely beloved film, or series, of which I was just previously unaware?”

I'm sorry but I still want my old Godzilla movies where the dub doesn't quite match the lips

I really enjoyed "Waiting for Guffman" and "A Mighty Wind." I really struggled with "Best in Show" because the yuppie couple were so fucking awful that I wanted them to die just a few minutes after they first appeared. I know they're supposed to be horrible, but I couldn't find them funny in any way.

While different languages I guess is one pote Tualatin application, this is pro ably more about changing lines or removing curse words. Think theybdid that in thr film "Fall" recently.

Stephen King's Golden Years. It was about a guy aging backwards and being chased by the government. It only ran a half dozen episodes in the early 90s before it was cancelled. Would have made a much better movie.

Reply to Considering he was a big star on 90210 back during the 1990s, why do you think Luke Perry didn't develop a big career after he left the show ala say Johnny Depp who became a movie star after leaving his very own teen drama, 21 Jump Street? by KevTravels
He was in the shadow of his famous half brother, Krusty the clown
