At The Mountains Of Madness, by H.P. Lovecraft, directed by Guillermo Del Toro. I want it so bad! He even had ILM make a test VFX shot.

I mean, it was finally filmed in full last year, but in terms of actual release, I wish I knew what the hell was going on with the Crow reboot.

Yeah, there were really no standout scenes that brought you out of the movie. Not a single instance of "eww, what was that?".
I had those every 4 minutes in Wakanda Forever.

Since you only mentioned Fire Walk With Me and Twin Peaks The Return:
You need to watch the original two seasons of Twin Peaks before you get to either of those. Release order is the definitive order and necessary for narrative and thematic context.

When most of your movie is done by the VFX artists, you should probably give them a proper budget to work with. Some of the effects were below the standard of some youtubers who just do this as a hobby.

Really immersive, incredible experience of the closest thing to being on another world that there is, to see in the theatre. So people go see it. It’s not complicated. It’s not great art, won’t be celebrated as a milestone in filmmaking like LOTR or Blade Runner, won’t leave people stunned like Amadeus or Schindler’s List, but it’s a really amazing cinematic experience. Again, it’s not complicated.

Never met anyone considering her as a role model, she’s vastly considered as a pop culture icon, the Hollywood golden girl, which are far far way from a role model

But how do you top avatar 2. Shit looked lifelike. I can't think of a single item or scene that looked less than real.

well it certainly seemed that money was well spent. The Navi and Sullys looked amazingly realistic. They really handled the sense of scale and size differences in scenes with humans and avatars. Even the bits of Edie Falco walking around in a stilted(?) exo-suit with the recombinants and drinking coffee looked great

Not in my case. I have a contrarian personality and the more others openly like something, the less I will. It is as if appreciation is finite and everyone else used it up before I got some.

You can try all you want, but you can't pick a fight with me. I've already told you that I don't suffer fools gladly, but if you're too stubborn to listen, then go ahead and continue vomiting your impotent rage into the void.
Understand also that you'll be doing it alone, and probably forever.

Michael Schur (Mose from The Office) owns the rights to Infinite Jest. Not sure that anyone could do justice in a film. Perhaps he bought it to shitty-adaptation-block it from being made.

I think the idolization stems from her "persona" and the fact she died well over 50 years ago under somewhat mysterious circumstances. Throw in the idea she was relatively young when died (36), and it perpetuates the myth in a way.

Think of James Dean. Similar to Monroe (both died young and are still idolized to this day). While Dean's death was far more obvious, the fact he died young adds a kind of mystique and allure that wouldn't be there had he died at a much older age. I feel it's a very similar concept with Monroe

I agree with that. He’s tried so many different things tonally and technologically. And of course, back to the future is an incredible movie. But none of his other stuff suggests the depth of cast away. At least for me.
