Same as Brad Pitt, I don't view him as a really "skilled" actor. He is not on the level of Day-Lewis, Phoenix, Hoffman, De Niro, or anybody of that class (as far as the modern age). He often looks like he's "trying" to put on the role but is never totally convincing. His baby face and higher register voice don't help him with playing adult, mature characters.

I appreciate that you shared another perspective. Another thought I had was the parents were probably waiting for him to reach a certain age before he gets tortured as Lucie gave a few seconds before shooting him, unlike the case with his sister in which Lucie shot her with no hesitations.

Lucie was tortured in a seemingly abandoned building, which somehow seems weird that the parents would place a torture room in their home

The Last of the Mohicans.

I love that scene where they visit their friends in the frontier log cabin. Everyone sitting around the table next to the fireplace. Playing with the kids and laughing. The different stages of life.

Uh... he's fantastic lol.

He was not outshined by Timothy fuckin' Olyphant lmao. Brad Pitt I can at least understand, even if I don't agree with it. While everyone loves Brad's character in OUATIH, he's not exactly doing any great acting lol. He's just a cool guy, and that works because people think Brad Pitt is cool.

Now Leo in OUATIH is doing all the heavy lifting, and is acting his fucking balls off in that movie. He should've been the one going home with an Oscar from that movie.

I can see where you’re coming from. I also agree with the first part being one of the best parts of the film as Anna’s loyalty and comfort to troubled Lucie would have been an interesting highlight. When the secret society was introduced, the ambiance somehow transitioned to a sci-fi feel.

I'm the opposite.

>!After the reasons behind it was revealed, it lifted it from a torture p**n and gave it another dimension. Or are you under the impression that the secret society did it because they got off on it?!<
