She never really struck while the iron was hot, half her roles have been for voicing . Us definitely was only thing she's done that I've seen her in that gives me hope that it wasn't a one off performance with 12 years a Slave. It's been 10 years now since that film, and only really one more eye catching performance. She definitely hasn't been prolific for sure.

The only movie I liked him in was Wolf of Wall Street. Otherwise, I can’t stand him.

There’s always something off-putting about his roles. I can’t explain it, but it’s enough to bother me enough to ruin a movie. Takes me out of the immersion. Also had the opportunity to meet him in person once.

There is no insult in the entirety of the English language that would properly encapsulate what I feel about him from that encounter.

Hit the nail on head, he's always Leo and listen nothing wrong with that he always delivers. There's no transformation like Day Lewis or prime De Niro, Oldman or Bale or even Hardy. That's why I don't have him as top tier like some do. When I see someone like Joaquin Phoenix act on screen, it's mind blowing and exciting watching him. With Leo, I always come out and feel a great performance but I've seen better this year.

I love Leo and I think he's great. The first and only time he really stood out to me as being not terribly good was Shutter Island. It was because I couldn't stop seeing him perform the exact same speaking patterns, squinting, and mannerisms that I had seen in a hundred other roles he's had. They're always there, but in Shutter Island they struck me as very prominent. I feel the same way about Denzel, he just speaks loudly and confidently and authoritative yet friendly in any role he plays.

I don't really agree on any of the three movies you mentioned, I thought he was the best in all of them. Minus Nicholson in the Departed, he was better than everyone.

Basketball Diaries, Gilbert Grape and This Boy's Life are top 5 of his best performances along Wolf of Wall Street and Django. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has the same mind set that Leo's earlier career, he went to depths he just doesn't do anymore since post Titanic. I love to see him work with a young director and not all the established name ones and just do something that surprise you.

It's Hardy's film all the way, should have won for best supporting actor for me. it's a bit like with Leo with Day Lewis in Gangs of New York. You just can't keep your eyes off Hardy anytime he's on screen, he's got a bit of that danger to him that not many actors today have. Leo is very good in it, but Hardy when he's not doing blockbusters is one of the best actors around.
