This is exactly what we are seeing with HBO. They are making more money licensing their work to cable channels.

Sony could have rivaled Apple if they played their cards well.
Imagine a Sony One service with Films and Music and Playstation games. Maybe make that an exclusive to Sony Xperias and Sony Tvs. Boom 💥

Hmm lately, I was impressed with The Fablemanns Gabriel LaBelle and Jeremy Allen White in The Bear (hes probably done other stuff before, but I've never seen him)
And Emma Stone in Superbad (probably the whole cast tbf, but I just knew she had something)

I mean I didn’t start a petition to ban them or anything lol. Also they didn’t go away, you can still see stuff in 3D.

They do, sorta.
When you buy a Sony Bravia TV, you can get access to Bravia Core, but only for a year(?). It has a large library of their titles available to stream at no additional cost for that year.

i just like sci fi and aliens and find new takes on them interesting like in Nope. but in my comment i also say "but i can tell the monster isnt the point of the story so i still enjoyed it".

edit: confused why i have 14 down votes after clearly saying i understand the origin is not the point of the story

I really enjoy 3D movies with an at home projector and watch one or two a month. Determining the scale of things on screen just seems easier viewing in 3D and I kinda like that wearing the goofy glasses prevents me from glancing at my phone for a couple hours.

As we have seen lately, starting up a streaming service is incredibly expensive and you will be doing it at a loss for some time. Disney+ I read made a loss of $1.5 billion last year but they can absorb that loss, nonetheless they are looking at their expenditure. Paramount+ too.
SONY didn't look like it had an appetite to start and compete in this market and do they have the content to justify one? Instead they were savvy to strike seals with Disney, Netflix, etc to sell/licence their movies and TV shows to them. Makes a tidy profit for them in the long run so they can concentrate on making tentpoles. Yes Venom 3 is coming.

You ain't the only one. I think many assume a lot of actors or actress break through performances on screen are their debuts (I've seen a bunch mentioned here already that think that).

I like them, have been to over 100 in the theater and own a few 3D Blu-rays as well. If a movie is in 3D, I go to that version exclusively, and only twice that I can recall have I not (Miss Peregrine's where I waited too long and the theater yanked the 3D version, and Billy Lynn's where the 3D didn't come to my town). I even went to No Time to Die in 3D, and I'm not sure a lot of people even knew it was released in 3D (I didn't know it was going to be). The only issue I've ever found is the slight dimming that happens with the specs, though that varies between theater and auditorium. Sometimes the bright levels have been excellent, as good as any 2D movie.

What would learning the origins of the alien add to the story or mystery even?

I really like 3d, I’m hoping my home projector does not stop working anytime soon because there are hardly any new 4K projectors that do 3d. Does suck having to import discs from Japan or Australia. Hoping the success of avatar 2 some companies will do a firmware upgrade to 3d on their new projectors.

or just use cell phones the entire time then get upset when they dont understand it. 5/6 questions were answered in the film. really the only one was "where did it come from" we assume space but thats it. everything else was answered

DONT give them any more ideas for unnecessary streaming services, haha. It's so bad now that streaming packages are basically just channels we used to buy from the cable providers, especially with the inclusion of ads. Lol.

i think its fair to include. for me i was also upset they didnt expand on the monster or its origin or whatever, but i can tell that the mosnter isnt the point of the story so i still enjoyed it

edit: came back to see these down votes even though i clearly say "i understand the monster isnt the point of the story and that i just like sci fi? hive mind at it again

the alien isnt the point of the story, but i agree i really wish they explained it more or where it came from and that keke pamer was a very annoying character. different vibe from daniel. also 5/6 questions were answered i the film....did you pay attention?

I would agree and add Prometheus and Coraline (which came out in 3D before Avatar).
I think post-conversion 3D is often gimmicky. Avatar 2 in HFR 3D was pretty awesome imo.

If immersion is what you’re looking for, I would assume you really just want better 3D.
