My impressions of 3D movie’s completely changed after watching “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse.” Before quitting entirely, give that movie a watch in 3D, it was SO well done!

nothing is more frustrating than having a parent nonstop not understand the movies you like lol. My mom watched Everything Everywhere All At Once and was ranting about how long it was, how empty the film was of rich meaning. I'm like...damn were we watching the same movie!?

Totally, unless the entire point of the film is to set up a larger universe, like Star Trek or Lord Of The Rings. I would argue that Get Out more closely resembles a classic horror/drama film though.

Plenty of people didn't like it. It's a film that puts more stock in what it's trying to say through symbols and themes than telling a classic hollywood story. I'm guessing you don't consume a lot of ambiguous media, like Neon Genesis Evangelion? I get why you feel the way you do, but its also probably a sign that movies like this aren't for you.

I had no idea the first movie existed but after seeing the trailer, I must watch it this weekend.

Also, they should have done everything in their power to get a Taylor Swift cameo.

I have a hard time with 3d; others do not. Not all 3d is created equal, but with the price of the ticket I don't take the chance of it not being good and lessening the experience, so I don't watch them in 3d. IMO 3d is fine if it adds to the film, but if the film NEEDS 3d to be worth watching, it wasn't a good film. Like if someone says "it was so much better in 3d," it was lacking significantly in other areas.

Among other adult things with eyeballs glued on. There’s also a scene of domestic violence.

Look, we get very, very few animated films for adults. I think we should acknowledge and appreciate when we do, and not automatically assume animated = for kids.

There are many challenging animated films still aimed at kids if you want to recommend those. But they’re asking for a family film, and Marcel is aimed and written for adults.

I can't find it now but I remember some interview where he said all it takes is time, money, and attention to detail to get post-conversion to like 80% of native 3D quality it's just that no one wants to do that.
