At least once a month I have a dog chase after me while I'm jogging, and more often than that they'll jump up on me while walking on the sidewalk/rail trails.
I don't like dogs and don't like when big dogs are chasing me/jumping on me. I understand it's typically bad owners and not bad dogs, but a stranger telling me "don't worry he's friendly" doesn't carry much weight.
4.5 million people in the US are bitten by dogs each year, and 800,000 of those need medical attention. Not everyone is a dog person, and we are not bad people for not liking dogs.
