Really can’t go wrong on either side! It’s a unified school district, so you get the same schools, access to culture, etc. VT seems a little prettier / more wealthy and offers some greater benefits (e.g., their senior center is better staffed and more active), but of course the taxes are there to pay for that.

Its not one size fits all..I've experienced plenty of adversity in my life. Through all of it I've learned that most people are good. I try to keep that mindset and I don't feel visual or sexual traits have anything to do with one's character. Completely discounting men for being men, wouldn't that also be discrimination and marginalization?

Those kinds of doomer statements are just not helpful IMO. They estimate Boston will have the former climate of DC by 2035. But there are ski areas in the mid-Atlantic.

Furthermore, I strongly believe humans will be extinct before Tucks isn’t skiable in the spring.

I pick the "taxation is theft" lane. Voluntary donations as the solution, but I've stopped giving money to beggars. Giving money to drug addicts enables them, other charities are the solution.

“Your sinophobia is showing!”

How dare you not capitalize Sinophobia! What are you, some kind of patriarchal binary white supremacist??!! Do you think Chinese people are beneath you and are undeserving of the simple respect of capitalization? I’m simply appalled at the nonchalance of your ingrained bigotry. Excuse me while I find my safe space and take a few minutes to collect myself. Your bigotry just broke my heart 💔💔💔

You’re not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you? Snobby Hanover is gonna have way more local government and HOA nonsense than small town Vermont. Bored rich whites spread that bullshit like corona, wherever they go. HOAs were created when redlining was made illegal. Unless you’re building a brand new structure, you don’t even have to pull permits in Norwich. There’s no building codes. Hanover, on the other hand, appears just as bad as Boston.

State government is a different story.

I'm not sure I disagree with you, but saying "that's the law" is somewhat irrelevant, except if law enforcement is involved. If the law said you can hunt in a unposted convenience store, I'd hope we all agree that was legal, no one should do that still.

I just took my neighbors fence down with a chainsaw last week because it violated my easement rights to the beach. But I'm in Massachusetts so I'm a masshole. But he's a bigger masshole. You seem like a nice guy. I wouldn't give it another thought should you decide to do away with tree stands on your property.
