A fox? Better evacuate the whole area.

A fox running through your backyard is pretty harmless to anything that is not a chicken or a very small pet. If it is hanging around, or behaving oddly, then it might be cause for concern, but fearmongering about one passing through is pretty pointless.

"According to investigators, officers were initially called to a home on Varney Point Road just before 10 p.m. Sunday for reports of a resident armed with a knife."

All I had to read tbh.

We know nothing else.

Someone, sounds like a member of his household called this in, which means they felt unsafe.

Bad things happen, but they happen less often if you comply and sue later.

He had a knife inside his house, because that's so uncommon, and that prompted police to perform a home invasion. Upon entering, they were met with force, and decided to overwhelm the man and kill him... Is what I gathered from this terribly-written article.

First, the article doesn't clarify who called in the report. Second, it's too early to tell. A man holding a knife in a house in and of itself doesn't warrant police attention. Third, the headline and article are written in a weird way by separating the firing of the officer's gun and the guy getting shot.
