Obviously I could buy a van, but then what? I need to be taught things so I know I’m doing them correctly, or my anxiety takes over and I give up.
YouTube is just full of finished vans, but why is is so wrong to want to connect with someone who’s actually doing this?

Check out Madison Bolder in Madison. It’s the biggest glacial erratic in North America. It is a 10 million pound boulder that the glaciers carried from way up north. You won’t be disappointed.

Nothing to add to what this person already said. Moving from Portland to Manchester makes no sense at all for better "social" life.

might as well visit the Firefighter museum underneath, and the Indian museum up the road.

Not sure if the Orozco murals are open to the public again but they are a stunning example of Mexican muralism at Dartmouth College. Also Saint-Gaudens National Historic site is a beautiful location with examples of the sculptor’s work.

Telephone museum in Warren. Don’t leave without a replica magnet.

I'm wondering if the "auto" feature on the headlights doesn't deal with rain & fog well.

I don't know if this is what you're seeing, but inconsistent cold can cause the bark on trees to crack and pop off. During the warmth of the day (or if a tree gets a lot of direct sun) the sap can begin to flow but then night falls and the sap freezes and expands, pushing the bark off the wood. This is why you'll often see trees that get direct sun be wrapped in white tape/fabric or painted white from ground level up a foot or two.

I randomly pulled into the Irving on the Hill spot, and was so excited! They are buried in Kingston, I visited there years ago!

Yeah, my father drove it an hour before me and said it was no issue whatsoever.

That's crazy, I drove down it this morning around 6:30 and it was no problem at all. Parking lot here at work was perfectly fine at 7:00 and then apparently a half hour later turned into a skating rink.

According to this Wikipedia article the Nestle Cafe is living on borrowed time. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestl%C3%A9_Toll_House_Caf%C3%A9
How long has that place been in Derry? I never noticed it until last month, and granted I only go to Derry for concerts but I drive by there once a year and hadn't spotted it before.

I'd go bigger and try out a big city. 30's the age to do it. I know for New England, Portland, Manchester, etc, are cities, but anywhere else on the east coast they'd be considered tiny cities or big towns.
That said, from what I've seen of Manchester, it looks much better than most places in NH to be single at 30.
It has nice spots and plenty of bars and restaurants, but as a city, it's definitely on the sad run down side.
