You could consider that the lions share of NH natives don’t want you here, especially if you’re going to vote to expand local government

Few things:
When I said "left alone" I mean alone. I didn't mean "leave them in the house with other people". Cops don't need to shoot people to prevent them from hurting themselves.
I train with cops and have multiple friends that are cops. They are well aware that many folks wearing the badge have no business doing so and are a danger to themselves and the public.
Be aware of where you get your news, especially on the autonomous zone stuff. I have friends who lived on the outskirts of it and it was very clear that the Proud Boys were rolling in there nightly to stir shit up and there was a very strong indication they were coordinating with Seattle PD. To be clear, my friends are non-political people who were just passing along what they would literally see out their window.

Many cops are men too. I don't like cops for a variety of reasons but given a situation with a bad actor with a knife vs cops using lethal force, I'm not going to jump to the cops as being bad without a good reason. Crazy that society views a knife-wielder that caused enough scare that cops were called as being the good guy with no other information.

So is this just a picture of a fat guy in camo with a SAW? Or is this a SPECIFIC fat guy in camo with a SAW?

Blame a shitty societal view of men's health and men's issues as bad VS blame cops

Expand your search to Vermont. There are a lot of microbrew distributors around the state

Does the GOP have a plan in place for repairing the failing education system? I've never actually looked into what they want to do outside of continually stripping funding for public education.
But I feel as though paying teachers more money, hiring more teachers and shrinking class sizes would help significantly to start.

Add me as another DCU fan. I've been with them for over a decade with my checking/savings, mortgage, and car loan. Zero problems, great customer service, and their rates are equal or better than the bigger banks. Also the tellers have better lollipops than Citizens.
Zero reason nowadays to use anything other than a credit union. Seriously, fuck the big banks.

I have citizens only kept them because we've been there so long. Got my auto loan through Northeast and I love them. I'm slowly making the switch to them fully. Their customer service is unbelievable in how good it is.

We want a better educated populace. Dumping more tax money into a failing system doesn't accomplish that goal. It's time to actually fix the problems.

Locally they all kinda suck. If you're looking for savings I reccomend Marcus through Goldman Sachs, 3.3% APY currently.

Im definitely going to be looking into taxes and all those fees. Is there a good place or website to get info on what taxes and fees are like? This will be our first home so I’m new to all this. I know it depends on town/county but I think it would be helpful to crunch some numbers before hand.
I just want a quiet place to live that’s closer to the mountains and where people will leave me alone haha 😂

>I am well aware and obviously I was not on scene but a person with a knife can be just left alone, maced, or tazed.
They can also be left alone and end up stabbing and killing multiple people. If the cops show up and the knife holder lunges at them, what do you want them to do? Ask politely that the perp stop stabbing them?
We don't know the facts, but most of the users in this thread have already determined that the cops are somehow at fault.
>But, a lot of cops need to grow a pair, do actual training, and not see every potential danger as one that needs to be resolved with a bullet.
Much of the public needs some actual training that not every incident where police have to use lethal force is unjustified. Remember the autonomous zone in Seattle where cops were prevented from entering and it quickly ended up with people getting shot to death by the nice peaceful people that inhabited the zone?

Thank you! IWe are similar, definitely consider ourselves moderate and we can lean both left and right depending on the situation, so I’m not overly concerned about the political environment. But as seen here some people have strong opinions about MA so I understand it. I’m glad to hear it’s not as polarized as is seems.

I also can vouch for DCU. I also believe that credit unions are better than traditional banks as well. Also, it’s nice that they are part of the co-op.

I walked into a TD Bank one day and told them I had forgotten my PIN, or it had glitched and wasn't taking the PIN. They set it to the PIN I typed on their terminal and left. Then I realized that they never even asked to see my ID.

I used to use them and got several of those payouts for them getting caught doing illegal things. Finally switched when they had an "update" that shutdown both their web site and their mobile app for multiple days. Awful experience. Never chose to be their customer either, they ended up with my accounts that originated all the way back with Shawmut and jumped through at least a dozen banks before dying at TD.

I am well aware and obviously I was not on scene but a person with a knife can be just left alone, maced, or tazed.
If this was a 17 year old kid threatening them with a knife there are likely plenty of other ways to resolve the situation other than killing him.
Don't get me wrong; play stupid games, win stupid prizes. But, a lot of cops need to grow a pair, do actual training, and not see every potential danger as one that needs to be resolved with a bullet.

Totally understand the desire to move, but just keep in mind that New Hampshire isn’t some sort of Republican stronghold. It’s purple and trending bluer, especially in the southern half of the state that you are looking at. There are a few towns right along the border that are strong conservative pockets, but the counties along the border as a whole are solidly blue.
With that said, it doesn’t feel as polarized here as other parts of the country. We moved here from Texas 5 months ago partly because of how polarized the political climate was there. While we lean left, we appreciate the ability for people here to cross-over and be bipartisan which is why NH has Democratic senators and a Republican governor.
Good luck on your search and hope you find a place that fits what you’re looking for.

Police don't release that kind of information until everyone has been properly debriefed and the facts of the incident have been determined.
But yea, fuck those guys for doing their jobs. Should have just ignored the 911 call and let whatever stabby mcstab had in mind happen.

Ignoring all the bs below a choice of a bank has a lot to do with your finances and your financial situation. If you just need a checking account and a debit/atm card then you want a bank that has ATM locations where you live. If you are in business then you would want a bank that caters to businesses. I have account in 4 different banks for 2 businesses, cd accounts, personal banking, loans etc. Figure out what your financial needs are and the go talk to the local bank manager in a number of banks. The smaller independent CUs and banks tend to give better service but may have fewer options and products. The national banks are more useful if you need a variety of services. In the end their are so many options that you need to figure out. I have a citizens account that’s great because the branch manager is great not the company. It’s all based on the people the work there. Good luck.
