Just echoing what has already been said. Banks are terrible join a credit union.

DCU is great, when my now spouse and I first started combining finances we opened a joint DCU account, on the app you can see your personal accounts and joint accounts and transfer funds between them.

It's been over a decade since I opened my account but do look into what you need to open an account, when I did I had to be a resident of a specific towns to open an account (my mother also used to work for Digital back in early 90s so I could have gotten an account that way). I think they changed it so anyone can join but something to keep in mind.

I’m not sure people understand sarcasm, the internet is certainly a place where humans seem to want to act out their more dickhead-like proclivities.

Either that, or they’re the type of people who wax poetic about how our brave officers and troopers risk their lives every day, to keep us safe. How dare that be critiqued, right? Except we don’t expect them to risk getting cut to take down a SEVENTEEN year old kid.

Seventeen. Grown men, cops, who have absolutely no excuse not to be capable ragdolling this kid and taking him to jail, just ended his life before it even started…because they felt threatened? I just think that’s a bit pathetic, myself. They’re much better suited for complicating the lives of working people, going about their day over stickers and tail lights I guess.

Im not saying that police don’t serve a purpose. But, the vast, vast majority of people in jails and prisons are:

a.) Adults selling drugs to other adults who want to buy them and take them for personal use.

b.) People driving on suspended licenses.

That’s almost everyone locked up…maybe one actual person who shouldn’t be among other people in a thousand. I just think the role of law enforcement, and laws in general need to be re-evaluated.

And schmutz lol

Minor gripe:

The Comcast outage site has a button for "Text me with updates".

I signed up for that at 1:30 PM. I know it works because to authenticate my account, they sent a text in the first place.

When I typed in the #, I got a confirmation saying they would text when it's restored.

I wasn't only looking for a text when restored. I was looking for a text when there are updates, like the button said.

I reloaded the outage page several times, and like others here's saw that it went from estimated restoration time: 6:10 then 7:00 then 10:00 then 11:30.

You know what those are? UPDATES. If it's only going to send a text on restoration, then reword the button to say so.

I can immediately think of the arguement from (hopefully) the minority. They'll argue this will reduce the effectiveness of police. Criminals will have time to flush down evidence, get the warning in order to strike back against police at the front door and therefore NH will become less safe like many big cities that remove the teeth from their police.

Considering strafford county doc is out in the middle of nowhere, a cab voucher program would be awesome. I do know that there's a public transit stop near the doc, but I don't know if they give out vouchers for it. The year that this happened, coast was giving free rides to the shelter, but they don't do that anymore.
