I think it's the fact you're using electricity. One of my friends (family of 4) just moved from their house that was heated with oil and propane. Their new house is all electric heat. Their bill was $1,200 for the month. They were shocked and so stressed out. Similar to your emotions, I imagine. You're not alone.

LOL! You think a commercial system that want you in college long enough to earn a lifetime debt has any incentive to teach? Sounds like someone who paid someone to give them an inescapable loan and wasn't educated enough to understand they got scammed.

Me too, I got my phone numbers when I lived in another state, and it's easy to drag them around with me, and changing them would be a lot of work. But when I get a 510 call it's always either a scammer or a recruiter who doesn't know where I live.

Most of these calls are from Indian call centers. UI can't be bothered wasting my time to lead them on, I've tried and I always end up laughing at their pathetic lies, so I found a few grave insults in Hindi to use when I talk to them. They are criminals, so they don't deserve any courtesy. They scam people out of huge amounts of money, and often steal controlling access to their PCs and bank accounts. The phone companies could block all of these calls, but they are making money from them, so they don't care. I don't get as many as you though, just about four so far today. Maybe my aggressive attitude to telling them what scum they are has some positive affect after all.

I was never a hiking or outdoors type. We moved to the mountains because of the views and relatively affordable real estate. When I started hiking it took me 10 tries to climb a mountain nearby. I was completely out of shape and had suffered a nagging ankle injury. Now (a few years later) I can climb the mountain in 45 minutes (3500 feet). I can easily climb Mount Washington. The key is you have to enjoy the outdoors. I put my headphones on and listen to music or books and just appreciate being alone out in nature. My wife absolutely hates hiking, it’s not for everyone. The key is to find activities that you enjoy.

Let me know when and where you're going, as I offer to hide in the woods with an air horn ready to blast when your buddies go to swing.

This service is not free, and books up quickly so be sure to place your reservation ahead of time. Thanks.

Believe it or not one does have the ability to look up what has been passed by state lawmakers. It's pretty clear to anyone willing to check what the agendas are for the local GOP. I don't ask because the lip service I'll get means less than nothing. I don't care what people say, I care what they do...and what they do is publicly available information.
