What part of NH are you from? In some of the more rural upstate areas I've seen people get harassed for sounding too Boston. It would not at all suprise me to learn TV news stations try to get their anchors to sound more generic.

I highly recommend anyone that skis/boards wears a helmet. I almost died in a snowboard accident riding the side of a trail early in the season, hit ice and got thrown into the woods. I wear a helmet religiously now the new ones are low profile, lightweight and will save your life.

Very good recommendations, especially Northwood Brewery and Over the Moon Farmstead!

People in the US that are that difficult to understand are pretty rare. Not very many people are going to be confused by a Boston / NYC accent.
This, however...
Probably the most unusual accents in the US are the ocracoke islands and what you find in deep Appalachian areas, but Ireland and Scotland easily take the cake.

Lots of breweries! One in Barrington (Topwater) and one in Gonic a few minutes away

They're going to do the primary as usual here, regardless of whether or not the delegates get penalized for not listening to the national party. The momentum of candidates is what's important (supposedly).
In 2020, there were 24 delegates up for grabs in NH, and there were 3979 total. Those 24 "not counting" doesn't really matter.

The hospitality industry gets a big boost from all of the staffers and media needing hotel rooms for months on end. Not to mention, all of the money that WMUR and the radio stations across the state take in from the campaign ads.
I'd be interested in a study on the economic impact of the FITN primary.

It was super icy under the fresh snow at my local ski spot in western Maine on Monday. once enough runs had been done the surface was back down to rough and icy. By the afternoon a lot of folks had called it a day because the trail conditions were just awful.

It’s been a real crummy snow season at a lot of places. That means more blown snow, which is blown only on the ski trails. Likely she went off the trail into an area with less snow on the ground.

Almost like some of them do have the interests of the state in mind and not just the party. FITN has its benefits for the state.

If New Hampsha were a person, it would be wearing a parka and shorts in February, drinking a large iced from Dunks

$160 a month for heat sounds like a dream at this point. Our oil tank was just refilled yesterday and I’m already dreading the bill

I think it's cute honestly but I think the universal standard is good for news programs so that it remains intelligible across the US. I understand the Bostonian accent but I've heard Scottish people speak English sometimes that might as well be another language. I imagine there are probably plenty of other accents in the US that are also incomprehensible to me and lots of other people. Or maybe the Bostonian accent is incomprehensible to some people.

Epping sucks, especially on Rt. 125. It's a non-stop traffic jam until 9 pm.

Northwood is way too far from Portsmouth. Rt. 4 in the morning is a nightmare, especially at the Lee traffic circle, particularly when UNH is in session.

This guy speaks the truth. Doubt the downvoters have spent much time in New Haven.
There’s good crafty flatbread type stuff in northern New England. But proper, classic pizza? Nope.

That's total bullshit. They just tore down the old high school a few years ago and built a brand new one and it's Voc school, so Dover gets taxpayer dollars from Barrington, too. Also, Durham sends their kids there for voc trades, Nottingham and Northwood kids got there, too, because Coe-Brown is so bad.
