If you had any clue about law enforcement recruiting and the hiring process for COLEA certified agencies, you’d know that the polygraph is not only a requirement, but it is used as tool to further the selection process. The purpose of this is to place a truthful candidate at ease and also to heighten the anxiety of a candidate that might have something to hide. Based on the answers and the subjects reaction to questions, the examiner can use that response to dig deeper. Yeah, you are correct in that polygraphs are not always reliable and thus aren’t admissible in court. However, as a hiring tool, they are invaluable for rooting out unfit candidates. It’s not uncommon for polygraphs to to discover a history of Illegal activity, heavy drug use, illicit sex activities including beastiality and pedophelia, and ulterior motives for wanting the job.

NH politicians overestimate how much the general population cares about the FITN primary.

But NH isn't going to move its primary. SC and GA aren't going to move theirs either. They would all require Republicans doing the bidding of the DNC. And I'm not sure why the DNC thinks holding delegates hostage is going to convince Sununu to change the law.

If the DNC really wants to move NH back in the schedule it's going to require some real threats, and possibly also the cooperation of the RNC.

In southwest NH, around Keene, you get more of a Western Mass. accent- more upstate New York than Boston. People pronounce their Rs more, and you get a more nasal, Midwestern sound.

Dante's in Barrington is a pretty good italian restaurant. But Ristorante Massimo in Portsmouth is the tops around here (pricey and exclusive... reservations required). Another really good restaurant is The Farm in Dover. I am also partial to Barrio in Portsmouth (tacos).

The Press Room in portsmouth frequently has live music. I haven't been there in ages... but I'm going this saturday to see a show. Stone Church as someone else mentioned in Newmarket has live music frequently as well.
If you're just driving around looking at the area and want to kill some time during the day... Crackskull's Coffee and Books in Newmarket is an awesome little coffee shop. Might want to consider Newmarket as a potential place to live as well. There's also a trail along the Lamprey River in Newmarket... access through a trailer park on the opposite side of the river from downtown.

For walks.. can't go wrong at Odiorne state park.. then drive the coastline, stopping at different places to gaze at the ocean.

Same with rural parts of Florida. I met someone from northern rural FL one time and could not understand what in the world he was talking about.

True of Cornish accents as well. I remember when I was a teenager and waitressing at my home town's HoJo's. A few English people had come over to do a foreign exchange thing, maybe through UNH, and one of them was from Cornwall. I swear, I could not understand a single word he said. Fortunately, he had a girlfriend who "translated" for me and they all had a good laugh about it all, thankfully.

It’s a urinalysis and they will pick up THC from October which will prompt a bunch of follow up questions which will cause him to perjure himself.

And if the proctor tells you that the test strip is on their chest, don’t fall for it…friggin’ Ronnie is such a clown…tell him I said hi…actually don’t tell him but let me know if he asks about me.

I’m a retired Trooper (not from NH) my agency uses a follicular test. Either way, any drug use, from a legal state or not, will be found out during the polygraph portion of the process. You also may be interested in knowing, that regardless if some states have legalised recreational marijuana use, it is still illegal for police officers.
