I fit a week's worth of food in my basket because I'm a boring mfer who eats the same shit every week. Helps me cut down on waste and stay within budget. Plus I get takeout on Saturday night.

Or maybe they want to have a state that at least vaguely resembles the us population…

Don’t worry about it, it’s just the sound of kobold having his weekly cry. It’s a gut wrenching cry of agony from being so wrong and lost all the time. Just let him be and let him have his cry moment. Once he gets it out of his system, he’ll be right back here to make more stupid comments again.

Right now is a weird time, it’s too warm for skiing from what I’ve heard, but it’s too cold for hiking and all the animals are dormant anyways. The ideas other people have had about sugar shacks and Portsmouth are good. While in Portsmouth you can also visit strawberry bank (one of the oldest settlements in NH). If you have time, Dover can be a cool place too

Go to Exeter and stop at Vino e vivo. Hands down best food I've ever had, including all my trips to different parts of California. Reservations are tight though so I'd start looking soon if you had interest.
Plus Exeter is a cute typical new England town with lots to do.

I've heard similar stories before, so I'd believe it. They're known to travel great distances. When one is actually confirmed here they'll say it was just migrating through, because that's how they get around changing things after denials stop working.
But, likely not what OP heard in the woods, haha.

I can not fathom how it could possibly be worse than the last time I attempted to eat something there.
Their food has been a horrible afterthought at best for as long as I can remember.

I mean, that's an opinion I suppose.
Given that there's 49 other states, I'm not seeing why they'd agree that NH deserves to be the most important in perpetuity.
At best I've got "NH is a swing state"...but that'd still suggest it should rotate at least a bit between a few swing states. Or that a bunch of them should be on the same day.

Why go to a shopping plaza in Bedford to eat at tuckers when they could go eat in Portsmouth on the way to Boston? Way better food and opportunities to walk around/hang out.

If you’re going to gunstock you should hike/ski/snowshoe around there. Should still be possible especially early in March. That’s the only reason people go to that area as a tourist.
On your way to Boston, stop in Portsmouth. I don’t know why no one else is saying that. It’s NH’s most charming (small) city with the best food and shopping. Also on the coast so you can go from seeing the mountains to the very small coastline which is pretty! The drive from Portsmouth to Boston is easy.
