What exactly is pretty about this scene? Underexposed, no subject (a pile of snow with some trees in the distance is not a subject), and it's as straight as a hill in San Francisco.

It looks gray and miserable.

Well hopefully someone elts can help so I can take my son shooting!

What you need to understand is that “nice guys” ask this question about 15x a week. Almost every single time any one of us has given a spot to the newest “nice guy” it has gotten absolutely trashed either by them, their stupid friends, or them passing said spot on to assholes.

So many of the nice spots to shoot have been destroyed by guys who say the same things on the same posts. You’re barking up the wrong tree asking here. Scout out some good spots for yourself and then keep them private if you want them to last. I’m not upset at you per se, but it’s annoying seeing people day in and day out being pissy that nobody will give them their spots to shoot. Do like everyone else and put the work in to scout out a spot.

I am asking the community for a safe and respectful place to shoot targets. Weather that’s someone who is willing to point me in the right direction or if it’s someone who owns their own land. I don’t understand the hostility, I am simply asking for help from those who are more familiar with the area and it’s laws. I simply am asking for help, no need to be upset. Just wanted to stay safe!

So what do you want from the community? To shoot on peoples private land? To be told the few remaining decent public spots? What qualifies as “supporting you” that you’re looking to get from us?

Understand not wanting to shoot with someone but helping someone find a safe and responsible place to shoot isn’t that harmful I would assume.

Not upset just disappointed, but it would be nice to see the community help out so that way you don’t have assholes going and target shooting in inappropriate places, like that kid who went shooting on monadnock.

You think us not giving our out spots to be destroyed by assholes is us not supporting each other? I get you’re upset you have nowhere to shoot but saying stupid shit like that is just gonna make people even less apt to help you.

Good, I want more snow for skiing. Kind of annoying that winter slow rolled us this year.

That’s very unfortunate, I understand you are allowed to shoot on state land, I just wanted to make sure I was doing it safely. It’s very sad the community doesn’t support each other but to each their own I guess. Still hopeful a private land owner will see the post and take me up on my offer!

This is asked almost weekly. Unfortunately folks are not going to give up their spots as many/most have been burned over the past few years by folks being knuckleheads.

I see people from the southern states saying they would like NH but they cant deal with the winters. Sure it snows and sometimes it snows a lot but dealing with the snow is a small price to pay for these postcard picture scenes of this beautiful winter wonderland.

I've lived in gorgeous parts of VT and ME, truly beautiful, but N.H. just takes the cake.

Only thing I can think of is maybe really bad alignment. Or a foreign object in the tire? Tires don't go bad that quick otherwise!

Having it drawn at Concord would put places like Epsom, Deerfield, Northwood and Barrington in "southern NH" and they feel very central (Epsom and Deerfield almost feels like northern NH)

We're right outside of Keene and are looking at between 8" - 13". I think we'll get closer to 6" but we'll see.

I’m in the higher elevation of the monadnock region. Weather app is saying 15” in the next 24 hours. I usually take the average between the app and WMUR. It’s generally pretty close to actual accumulation.

I moved here 4 years ago from the West, and, well, not what I expected. Not much for winter here. When I was a kid in CA the mountains were covered with snow all winter, if you could see them through the smog. My children grew up without seeing any snow in the mountains, for the most part, until the year we left. (Only lasted a few days, but it happened!) Now I move to NH and the snow all goes away.

Maybe it was me. Did I bring this here?
