Wait. They found a loose dog and arrested the owners?

I don't know if any of you have visited up state, but a whole bunch of people take a free range approach to domestic animals.

Edit: The article implies the dog was abandoned on the North Road bridge. The linked police tweet says the dog was abandoned on Hogan Road, i.e. not on a bridge. That is a little weird. You'd need a witness to know that. But if there's a witness, why would they need to search social media? At best, it's lazy record keeping.

My area (home) lost power for 6 days and the reason was strictly trees falling on lines, blocking roads, etc. About 2 years later, major clearing was done (including on a state road where they cut back exponentially). Larger poles, better wiring was replaced. We barely lost power again. Maybe for an hour during a bad thunderstorm. It can’t cost more than burying. Imagine blasting in the WM?

I'll follow the NWS guidelines instead of some random redditor posting cherry-picked model runs, thanks. https://www.weather.gov/gyx/weatherstory

If you turn out to be right, don't say I told you so. The models are probabilistic. Sometimes the contrarians are correct due to randomness.

It's probably going to be a mostly-north-of-Concord event, although all that icing before it turns to rain is going to make a mess everywhere. Also, do note that thousands of people in NH are still without power from the last storm, and this wet hot mess is really the last thing we need right now. These icy shitstorms are the fucking worst.

Personally the idea of climbing around on a snowy/icy roof scares the crap out of me. I don't see how to do it right (zig zag with clips holding it down) without going on the roof. I tried tossing it out the overlooking windows at my old house after we had ice dams, but that didn't work worth anything.
