A mobile home and homes using those same off-site building practices are a depreciating asset that requires different financing, etc.

On the other hand, a modular home, built off-site, but using the same techniques as a standard home: wood studs, drywall, standard plumbing practices, etc, then brought onsite is in some ways better than a home built onsite. It can be financed in the same way, and it is not a depreciating asset. The link to a house in the OP appears to be a link to a module home, not a mobile home or its ilk.

Currently, some very high end, large houses are modular homes. The one in the OP is a very simple, small modular home. Every 5 years or so that goes by the modular homes get nicer and nicer and better built.

Since the state needs it to be legal federally to allow for state controlled sales, a good interim step would be to fully legalize the possession of it and possibly home growing. That way people still have access by growing their own or traveling an hour in any direction but won’t be subject to the arcane laws

That's all good and fine but they can atleast pass a simple decriminalization bill. The current one is trash. You could go to jail for having an ounce of weed.

They should go the VT route and do it in 2 steps. Give the full legalization of possession and then wait till it is federally legal to pass a bill for legalizing sales.

I have nothing against weed and it will inevitably be legalized here some day, but the longer I can go without having to smell it everywhere I walk I will not take for granted. As a non smoker that shit smells awful.
