Haha I certainly don't pretend to be one either. I just know that last year someone came through our town with a petition to the select board about not taxing solar

Reply to comment by IntelligentMeal40 in So Everscource jumped its price 155% right before the winter... by [deleted]
thank you for the info, but it doesn't changes anything else I pointed out. Why the hell can they do that? Why does the government call in any tech company over monopoly issues but a company that controls the only electric poles and charges whatever the hell its wants is... emm... ok???
They even have meetings to agree on price hikes with other electric companies? If this were stocks, this would be illegal.

Actually this wasn’t just because of winter this was a long time coming, there are lots and lots of articles in the local online newspapers about why this happened, you would have to go back to the beginning of last year at least maybe even farther. I don’t remember exactly what happened but it was some deal the utilities companies made more than a year ago, and they knew this was coming, and people were complaining about it. I don’t remember the details but it wasn’t supposed to be like this and they didn’t raise rates just because it was winter they raised rates because of some screwup they did a year and a half ago.

Well I am clearly not a lawyer. I read "Must be adopted by the municipality as" each municipality must adopt it, but clearly that is not the case!

Reply to comment by carpdog112 in Anyone get pine trees removed recently? Rough cost that I should be expecting? by r3y__
Good point, I should have added the 'in the woods' piece. Tall, straight, no big branches. Yard trees tend to be to knotty. We had ~40k board feet taken out (all pine) and got a few grand for it (and we got like $20 for many, many tons of chips). But our land was definitely closer to a wood lot than a yard.

Reply to comment by SomeCalcium in DNC gives NH new deadline to meet requirements for FITN primary by IBlazeMyOwnPath
It may be that primary order is a non-issue for people but the push to move SC first indicates it isn’t a meaningless issue for a lot of other people, its one people put weight on. That people think it is important is why this fight is occurring. And NH’s FITN primary is a part of the political culture of NH, so taking that away is a little more precarious. There’s a reason that all of the State officials felt comfortable coming out strong against this (including state Demparty).
And of those five states you referenced , 3 were deep red so they were never at risk for GOP. The two purple states they played with in 2020, Arizona and Nevada, both went for Biden and both of the toss up Senate seats went blue. Can’t say that the canceled primary was the reason but I don’t think we can say with confidence that voters didn’t tag them for it.
NH has open primaries so it will stop independent voters who want to weigh in on Dem candidates from doing so.
Main point in all of this is that the DNC picked an unwinnable fight and are posturing to significantly reduce the presence of the party in a purple state with an all-blue delegation. And they are doing this in service of something that you say voters don’t care about: primary order. It’s so stupid and is just them shooting themselves in the foot. And it was done in bad faith. This does not strike me as something the DNC really thought through.

I think not being a normal person in the first place would be more of a hindrance than any thing else and normal people don’t storm the US Capitol Building.

The censorship and self-censorship has resulted in large numbers of people for real not knowing what you're talking about.
We're literally living in a world with two (or more) completely different perceptions of reality.

Where's the ACLU?
>The American Civil Liberties Union of D.C., which filed an amicus brief in support of the defendants and has sued the D.C. police department over officers' actions during the inauguration protests, celebrated the verdict.
>"Today's verdict reaffirms two central constitutional principles of our democracy: First, that dissent is not a crime, and second, that our justice system does not permit guilt by association," senior staff attorney Scott Michelman said in a statement. "No one should have to fear arrest or prosecution for coming to the nation's capital to express opinions peacefully, no matter what those opinions may be."

It was more “mostly peaceful” than the protests for the druggy George Floyd were by several orders of magnitude.

Not a single one of those charges is an attempt to overthrow the government. They're all basically trespassing using different words.

I hope all the people responding are active politically (yeah, I know, yuck - but it's important) to get their state representatives and state senator to create state support of solar.
Much of the NH GOP is anti-renewable for whatever reason, so we need aggressive pro-renewable action from voters. Solar is "local control" so the NH GOP should be in favor of it.

You should all be more concerned about a true overthrow of our constitution by a WEF, one world government, and what they have planned. Instead of a distraction, that if it was an insurrection, was the wimpiest plan for an insurrection ever formulated. It's a distraction, people. Pay attention to what is really going on.

Because we insist on a lifetime of punishment, a felony conviction just follows you around forever and really messes up trying to be a normal person.
