I mean, can’t go wrong anywhere then hahaha
But seriously, Monadnock region - draw a 25 mile circle around Mt. Monadnock and you’ll find enough good spots for jams, beers, biking and skiing.

Dover and Somersworth are a great area. Pretty close to the seacoast. Not too far from the lakes and mountains. Lots of decent night life

Bringing a gun where alcohol is served should be illegal. It is very irresponsible. NH really needs to relook at this. I've a weapon, i strongly believe in the second amendment with proper screening/background checks.

The Seacoast is nice but hella expensive. Monadnock region is cheaper has a solid mix of all those things you’re looking for, especially if you need to hit the city for whatever reason. The further north, the cheaper homes get, with more outdoor adventures available.
A well-insulated house is worth the cost - energy costs are no joke.
Snow tires - absolutely critical. And All-Wheel Drive is a must.
Generator is useful - Eversource has screwed up the grid and we’ve had several bad power outages after relatively mild storms.
I find personal opinions of an area or town is completely at odds with reality. Yes - even mine. So take any person’s suggestion as a direction, and make your own conclusions with some research.
But FWIW for the Monadnock region, Peterborough is solid, and Keene is becoming popular. Hancock is super pretty. All of these areas have breweries, trails and even gnarlier experiences in the White and Green Mountains.

I own a backpack that can be used to transport my dog if he gets injured. Never had to use it thankmgod but it would suck to be stuck with a wounded pup.

You should pay your rent or workout something with the owner or just leave. It is not right to make others suffer because you are having difficulties. The owner has bills related to that property. I find squatting is just a mean and disgusting thing to do. I am not a landlord.

If you think this is bad, don't ever come to RI.
People here literally stop in the middle of traffic circles either because they don't know if the other person is just going to go, or to "be nice" and let the other person go. It's real fun when driving through the four to six back to back traffic circles.

Ha I have waited in these kinds of situations and just ignored polite drivers until they go first like they were supposed to. Drive predictably not politely. The worst is when they stop to let you in and there's no traffic within 300 ft of them. Like dude if you had just turned I'd be on my way already you're doing fuck all for favors

Any one around Moultonborough willing to give lessons? I would gladly pay. I have Maples on my property, I believe they are black maples, but I'm no tree expert, I know some have been tapped before from the previous owner.
