Boo f-ing whoo. It's easy. Pass on the left. Pass on the f-ing left. It's not that difficult. Massholes can't do it either. Trust me, I married one.

We have a flock of around 50 that hang out in our yard and roost in the trees along our driveway. We live on a road that is busy at commute times and the turkeys choose this time (basically dawn and dusk) to cross this road. In all the years they have been doing this we have only had to bury one turkey because for the most part people are kind and slow down and stop to let them cross the road.

I sincerely appreciate you wanting to help, but I'm actually doing fine. You're right that most of the rules make sense, but I don't think that necessarily makes them good rules. And I would still rather not play the game, but that's not an option.

You're just describing the standards, and actually making some points about how they're arbitrary (different depending on who you ask and where you are). So it doesn't really negate my point.

And I understand that's how banks get money, but I find the whole practice a bit unethical.

I've never done it before, but it looks like a fairly simple process (correct me if I'm wrong). Does anyone have any recommendations for where to get taps and other supplies?

Of all the comments here, I have not seen anyone mention the taxes. NH has property taxes that royally suck (unless you want to get land in Bean’s Purchase where there are no taxes), and they can be a sticker shock. Do your research before purchasing a home.

Simple answer, don't drink and drive. There is no excuse. Sorry his parents are dead. Don't drink and drive. Sorry he has an ailing wife and needs his vehicle to drive an hour and a half to work. Don't drink and drive. Clearly there's too much at stake for your friend to be this stupid. No sympathy here.

A) Follow the rules of the road, don’t change them on the fly to be ‘nice’ at a 4 way, or to let someone make a left in front of you. Keep moving and follow the rules.

B) For merging…same rules. Nobody has to ‘let you in’ if you are on an on ramp and have a yield sign. The main road traffic should not have to speed up, slow down, or move over to let you in. Yield means you do NOT have right-of-way, and have to wait until it’s safe to proceed.
