Baker is the new President of the NCAA. Gosh, the number of jokes I want to make. Anyway, he’s not in on this idea.

But it IS a good idea. Needs to be broader than just recent Governors. Utah, for example, and Evan McMullin. It’s really too bad Arnold is ineligible because he’d definitely throw his hat in as a spoiler and California would be essential to any such plan. New York, too and there are any number of people with a high enough profile, the money, and the personal grudge needed to run a Quixoitic campaign. Where’s Lynn Swann at these days? That’s a good spoiler for PA.

Ok, I’m done thinking about this because I now know LeBron could run for President in CA as a Republican and… well, that’s a five minutes I’m not getting back. Suffice to say, spoiler candidates can work, and there’s lots of interesting ways to game that.

Sure, I'm okay with whatever nuance you want to touchdown-dance on.

You seem like somebody who likes to argue pedantry, and I'm not into that sort of thing.

I see no difference between being a pro-business, Republican, Waterville Valley (a corporation) owning multi millionaire, and going "corporate". Quite literally their ideologies are one in the same.

Take care.

Nope, you suggested that Chris’s NH business interests are in some way comparable to the money he could make by going “corporate”.

That’s a big mistaken comparison you made. I brought up Charlie as someone who is an ex-Governor gone corporate making a ridiculous amount of money. I could have referenced Deval Patrick or any number of ex-politicians who’ve “gone corporate” and get paid more than the owner of a ski resort in NH.

The accuracy of the subjective tests is more/less binary; above or below legal limit. The visual acuity test adds nuance to the extent to which the subject is intoxicated in excess of the legal limit. I’m not suggesting “some beat cop” can beat you or any physician at a physical exam. I’m also not suggesting anyone rely on this test alone…when a police officer pulls someone over after 12:30 AM, detects an odor of alcohol and slurred speech, and puts the driver through the visual acuity test (which also requires them to stand in front of the officer and allows them to observe the subjects balance, respiration, as well as their response to the test itself) they’ve got a pretty good justification to make an arrest for suspicion of OUI.

Subjective vs. objective.

There's a lot of things that are more important than your desire to smoke weed under a different legal status. It's already decriminalized... so go buy it and smoke it.

Meanwhile... the rest of us adults have already figured out that roads, schools, medical care, and a million other social services are more important than you being able to stroll into a NH dispensary.

It's not like you're in the middle of Texas, and need to drive for 6 hours to get to the nearest state border.. Hop in a car and go to ME, MA, or VT... or grow it like the rest of us.

I’d second Bresaw. He’s very good and has a working professional relationship with the police in that area. Super important in trying to get a plea deal, which is likely the route you’ll have to go. Pricey, but worth the money. I’m sorry by the loss you and your family are going through. You’re a saint for trying to support their son right now. I’m sure he desperately needs it.
