Oil guy showed up to my place last week and started bitching about having to walk in the show: "It's really hard to deliver oil when you gotta walk through 2 feet of snow." Looked that man dead in the face and responded "It's really hard when my heat bill is higher than my mortgage, looks like we're both about to have a shitty afternoon." and shut the door. Don't give em a dime more than what YOU got...becuase they'll screw you over when they have the chance.

Because this is important. We're already having enough issues with people that legally own guns.

He was convicted for assisting in an armed standoff of said tax dodgers. He had pipe bombs, rifles, and anti government literature at his apartment when he was arrested. https://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/14/nyregion/14bomb.html

The slope is too slippery. If you make an exception for 1 felon, all the rest will want an exception. Hard pass.

I mean some are felons due to bullshit drug laws. Looks like he was convicted for “aiding a tax dodger”.

You left out bomb making.
He also enlisted in the Army and was arrested at Fort Leonard Wood military base in Missouri after authorities seized a bomb, ammunition and anti-government literature in the basement of his home in Brookhaven, N.Y., according to a report in the New York Times.

You guys sound fun! We've got probably some of the best of all the things you mention right here in the state. highland mountain bike park is the best. I go to Loon for downhill, it's cheaper and less busy (they have a 8 pack lift now). For xc biking there's trails everywhere! Join the NEMBA, a great group of mountain bikers meeting up mostly on week nights.
Skiing has been tough in recent years, climate change is hitting new England hard but we still get a couple good rippable months each year, I do the ikon pass as there are lots of big mountains nearby. If you like back country hit tuckermans ravine.
I'd recommend trips to Canada, it's so close to here and it's amazing for all these activities too!
New Hampshirites are kind of quiet and self contained, it's been a struggle meeting other outgoing people since I moved here. Naturally everything else you listed is found in the white mountains, you'll never get enough, if you want a challenge try "the 48" but be careful and prepared.

The police do next to nothing in adult missing cases absent of probable cause of foul play. It is still good advice to use them as a third party on these cases because you never know what's going on in anyone's life and it takes the judgement call off of you personally.

This asshole acquired guns to help in a stand off with the feds.
There are nonviolent felonies we probably should consider being less punitive about with firearms and voting, but keeping this dumbass away from firearms seems prudent.

"Those crimes involved helping the notorious anti-government tax evaders Ed and Elaine Brown in their highly publicized nine-month armed standoff in their Plainfield home."
And now a state rep. How special is that.

So I understand the point they are trying to make: “Why should you lose your constitutional rights for life when you have done your time?”. The problem lies in that our prison system doesn’t reform people into healthy members of society it only punishes them for crimes already committed. Until our prison system becomes an instrument of true character reform I cannot agree with anything along these lines.
I’m also laughing about how he’s saying “non-violent” like “himself” except he’s literally been charged with aiding in an armed standoff with police and vague threats and of violence against state agents. Yea real “non-violent” buddy. It’s like saying “I didn’t rape that person I just watched, so I’m not a sexual predator”. Get out of here with that clownery.

Tax evasion and armed standoffs with the feds followed by glorious careers in the legislature are in the blood of Yankees and we should be grateful to those who were willing to do this in the colonies.
